For the many years of his uncommon leadership, the vast numbers of us, past and present, feel we have lost a father, a brother, a counsellor, a good and exceptional friend, a model, a teacher, a kingdom-minded visionary and strategist, a faithful and generous philanthropist and a giver, a down[1]to-earth, bold and selfless leader. •

He modelled a life of total obedience of faith in his commitment to evangelism and missions.

He loved and faithfully taught the unadulterated Word of God without fear and favour;

He unequivocally pointed his hearers to Jesus Christ as the Saviour of the world in the power of the Holy Spirit and helped to champion revival fires that inspired millions in Ghana and beyond.

He epitomised what a true Spirit-filled Christian life is all about by leaving behind Christian footprints and a legacy of humility, compassion, selflessness, integrity, humour and an unflinching commitment to the welfare of others.

On Sunday 17th November 2013, Pastor Ola preached his last sermon at the headquarters of the church he had founded. As if he knew that was his very last, he preached for so long and touched almost every area of the Christian life.

After preaching he spent considerable time laying hands and praying for so many people. On Tuesday 19th November 2013 he had almost all Pastors in the Harvesters Evangelistic Ministry at his residence at Ayeduase, where he interacted with them, and they prayed for him.

In the evening after watching the Ghana-Egypt world cup qualifier, he still complained of swollen gout (knee ache) and took some pain killers. In the wee hours on that fateful day Wednesday 20th 2013, he was rushed to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital emergency centre where he was pronounced dead on arrival. He probably passed away at his residence looking at the smile on his face and the peace he radiated!

We shall always remember his many sacrifices, examples, and the godly heritage he bequeathed! Rest in peace gallant soldier of Christ!
